Joining the Theater for Charity Board of Directors

I've always sought opportunities to give back to the community that has given so much to me and my family. So, when Lynn Hodak approached me to join the Board of Directors for Theater for Charity, I jumped at this great opportunity to serve. I'm so glad to be involved with this organization dedicated to entertainment while also raising funds for great nonprofits in our community!

Here is the official statement from Theater for Charity:

"Dave Scriven-Young is Senior Counsel and Environmental Practice Leader of Peckar & Abramson, P.C., a Chambers & Partners USA-recognized, nationwide law firm. He is a trial lawyer helping companies, executives, and other professionals tell their stories with confidence, litigating commercial, environmental, employment, and construction cases. Dave is a member of Council of the American Bar Association Litigation Section and hosts the Section’s popular “Litigation Radio” podcast. He also co-chairs the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. He has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America and an Illinois “Super Lawyer”, and he holds the AV Preeminent Rating for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability from Martindale-Hubbell.

"Dave is also a community leader, currently serving as the elected Tax Collector for Wheatland Township and an appointed member of the City of Naperville’s Special Events & Community Arts Commission.

After watching his children (Henry and Charlie) perform on stage for many years, Dave got the acting bug when his whole family landed roles in “The Music Man” for Little Mountain Community Theatre. Since then, he has had the pleasure of acting with several companies, including Magical Starlight Theater, Joliet Drama Guild, and, of course, Theater for Charity. Additionally, Dave is a cantor at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Naperville. He trains in dance with Jeanne O’Connell, voice with Alvaro Ramirez, and acting with Acting Studio Chicago.

"We'll be unveiling our 2024 season on December 29th! Get ready for another year of unforgettable performances that not only entertain but also raise vital funds for worthy causes.
